While we all may have different routines in terms of how or when we drink coffee, we can all agree that a good cup of coffee is essential to our everyday routine. That is why it can be difficult to stray from the norm and try something new. This was the case for me before I worked for Mayorga. I guess you could say that my coffee world was sheltered. This is not so anymore! If I could give you a piece of advice, try something new. Try a new brewing method or a different variety of Mayorga Coffee than your norm. You will be amazed by the rich flavors and smells that you are exposed to and in my opinion you should start with a French Press.

Most people that have been drinking coffee for years are probably laughing right now because the French Press is old news to them. The French Press was patented by Attilio Calimani in 1929, but there is a reason why the French Press is still popular today, it makes delicious coffee! The key to the brewing process is that there is no filter. Paper filters can absorb some of the coffee beans natural oils and prevents them from getting into your cup. The filter-less French Press assures that all of the bean’s flavor gets into your cup. The French Press allows you to truly taste the full flavor profile of the coffee you are drinking. Here is how it works:

As you can see it is real easy to use! Another great part of the French Press is it is easy to clean. Most French Presses, like ours, are dishwasher safe. Simply discard (or compost) the leftover grinds from the container, put the French Press in the dishwasher, and go on with your day.
Are you still asking yourself why you should try the French Press? Here’s why: it’s easy to use, easy to clean, it’s affordable, portable, environmentally friendly, and it makes great coffee! Drip coffeemakers are great too, but they can be expensive. An eight cup French Press will only cost you $35.48. Not bad for a dependable brewing device. It is also great for traveling. Instead of having to rely on bad hotel coffee, you can take your French Press with you on the road and enjoy you favorite Mayorga Coffee anywhere you go. So the challenge is out there, try something new and start with a French Press!

I want to try one – my nephew and his wife use one daily, they don’t even have a ‘Mr Coffee’ type brewer.
Thanks for posting!
Still, cold-brew does have its critics (myself at one time included). Naysayers complain that cold-brew lacks the body and complexity of flavor of a heat-extracted brew. Over the years I’ve tried to extract more richness and complexity from cold-brew coffee, in the hope of achieving the best of both worlds. I’ve tried a number of out-there techniques including an initial hot water bloom (there’s that heat again); pressurized brewing in a cream whipping canister; near-continuous agitation; and five-day-long extractions in the fridge. But none of these techniques improved my cup of cold-brew. What they did was turn a simple, satisfying process into a chore.
