Freshly Roasted Coffee

Indian
Indian coffees are traditionally low-acidity and good-bodied, with a subtle interplay of sweet notes and spicy undertones. Nearly all of India's coffee is produced in the Southwest, where the Karnataka region, specifically, boasts silver-sand beaches, blue lagoons, and stunning mountainous regions.

MEDIUM ROAST
A smooth, full-bodied coffee with low acidity and a distinctive smoky, earthiness. Most of the coffee grown in India is produced in the southern region of the country. In the early days of coffee production, green coffee was transported in sailing vessels, which took several months to reach European markets. During this time the beans were exposed to very high levels of humidity, which changed their flavor as well as their color. To reproduce these characteristics today, a process called "monsooning" is employed. The green beans are spread out in special open-sided barns during the early summer monsoon season, after which they are loosely bagged and rotated for about seven weeks until they have reached the characteristic "monsooned" flavor and color.
