Mayorga Coffee Grows Production Capacity with New Roasting System

Rockville, MD--In response to continued growth in national demand for Mayorga Coffee, the company has recently completed a production expansion that will increase the facility's output by 300%. This expansion entails the addition of a 120 kilo batch roasting system that will run side-by-side with the existing 45 kilo system as well as a new packaging equipment.
 
"There are certain growth milestones in our business that we'll always remember, and this is one of them", states Martin Mayorga, President of Mayorga Coffee. "It makes me very proud to know that with this roaster, we will be able to import more coffee from our origin partners, which will help them continue to build their communities. After all, that is why we started Mayorga Coffee over 11 years ago and it is why we continue to put our passion behind every pound of coffee that we roast".
Matt Brown, VP of Operations for Mayorga Coffee, supervised the facility upgrade and system installation. "By working closely with the roaster manufacturer for several months, we were able to build and install a system that allows us to meet the growing demand for our coffees while maintaining our strict quality standards for roast profiling. I worked closely with Alfredo, our Roastmaster, for a week after the system was installed to make sure that the drum was seasoned appropriately and that the profiles on the new system cupped to our standards. It is now fully operational and producing incredible batches of coffee", adds Brown.
The company will continue to adhere to it's "roast to order" philosophy of only producing roasted coffee on a per-order basis. This ensures that customers continue to receive their orders of Mayorga Coffee within 3 days of roasting. This is just one of Mayorga's strict quality guidelines for ensuring that the company's coffees are not only sourced sustainably, but that they are of the highest quality available in the market.
